New Hampshire for the 33rd running of the Mount Washington Road Race.

This is a base to summit race over 7.6 miles sponsored by the New Dartmouth Bank.The local team will comprise of Jeremy Ball, Gary Kelson, Harry Patchett and George Sutherland and will be in for a gruelling run.

The race is very popular and well over 1,000 runners will be attempting to reach the summit. There are many prizes, including cash, trophies and medals.

With only three masters to score in a team the Educators are hopeful of a placing. With the assistance of former Corporate Relay winner Eddie Davies they are also eligible to enter the open team category from which five will score.

SWIMMING SW Two records were broken and several swimmers achieved AAA, AA and A standard times during the last leg of the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association's Spring Series on Saturday at the BASA pool.

A total of 120 swimmers from the Island's three swim clubs participated in this event, which saw Matthew Hammond of Harbour Club set a new age group record of two minutes, 41.07 seconds in the 11-12 boys 200 metres backstroke.

Hammond broke his old record of 2:42.21 set in July last year.

Jessica Sousa of Sharks Club set a new age group record of one minute, 28.49 seconds in the nine to 10 girls 100 metres backstroke. She also broke her own record of 1:29.12 set last month.

Stephen Fahy of Harbour Club again had a good swim with AAA times in the 100 and 200 metres freestyle, along with an AA time in the 100 metres butterfly.

Jenny Smatt of Harbour Club swam a AAA time in the 100 metres breaststroke to qualify for the Central Caribbean and Central American National Championships in Cuba during August. Smatt also swam AA times in the 50 metres freestyle and the 200 metres individual medley.

YOUTH BASEBALL BB With one week remaining in the YAO Baseball League, Rockies have already sewn up first place in the Rookie League and the battle is now on for second place between three teams -- Yankees, Orioles and Twins.

Yankees and Orioles stand tied with identical 4-3-1 records (won-lost-draw) while Twins, at 4-3-0, will be hoping that each lose their final match, allowing them to slip in for the runners-up spot if they can manage a win.

The Little League title is still up for grabs, as Phillies and Blue Jays are at the head of the tables, closely followed by Indians and Tigers.

Latest results in Rookie League action saw Cardinals top Yankees 14-10, Tigers slam Angels 14-6, Rockies turn back Blue Jays 16-12 and Orioles edge Twins 8-7.

SOCCER SOC St. George's Cricket Club will host a prize presentation in the club auditorium tomorrow at 7.30 p.m. for all senior and junior players as well as those members of the combined St. George's/St. David's Pee Wee team, who won the Heritage tournament.

CRICKET CRI The Primary Schools Double Wicket finals will be held at Shelly Bay field tomorrow starting at noon.

The four zone winners who will be contesting the championship are: Somerset Primary (West), St. David's (East), West Pembroke (East Central) and Dellwood (West Central).
