Lobster Pot held on to their perfect record -- and the top spot -- with an emphatic 9-2 win over PHC Raiders at Somerset Cricket Club.

Tim McLaren notched a hat-trick as Pot led by five goals at the half, before adding four more in the second. Assisting in the scoring department were Saleem Mukudem (two), Troy Berkeley and Alan Mackie.

At Wellington Oval, MR Onions were forced into a dogfight with Tuff Dogs before coming away 1-0 victors, courtesy of a second half strike from Andy Robinson.

Robin Hood, the only side other than Pot to have won all their matches, defeated Devonshire All-Stars 2-1 to move into third place. Former First Division performers Derek Stapley and Paul Towlson scored for Hood, while Kenny Dill notched the lone reply for All Stars.

The other top flight fixture saw Vasco Mariners put another hole in the once impregnable armour of BAA Wanderers, Joe Rodrigues accounting for the 1-0 scoreline.

Emergency exercises prevented the North Village Rams versus Fire Services match proceeding.

Meanwhile, Key West Rangers took over the leadership in Division B after a 6-2 thrashing of Valley at Shelly Bay field.

Earl Richardson, only recently removed from the ranks of the Premier Division, showed his class with a four-goal burst from which Valley never recovered.

Additional Rangers' strikes came from Vernal Cann and Oscar Samuels, while Raymond Burrows and Alfred Bothelo replied for Valley.

Another goal feast occurred in the west, where Exiles made the most of their long trek, administering a 9-4 shellacking of Prison Officers at Malabar.

Three players scored twice for the visitors, with Shannon Burchall, Craig Outerbridge and Treadwell Walker each notching two goals, while Mike Smith, Martin Siese and Blaine Outerbridge scored one each.

Denton Leaders and Millard Rawlins scored two each for Officers.

The same venue witnessed Dockyard Falcons and Wolves Pack draw 2-2.

Mike Williams scored twice for Falcons, while Caisey Burgess and Paul Douglas netted a goal each for Pack.

At the other end of the Island, St. George's All-Stars welcomed arch rivals Somerset Extros with a 6-1 mauling, as Morris O'Brien, Cal Raynor and Terrence Carlington each scored twice, against a lone tally from Everett Wellman of Extros.

The other affair of the day saw Pest Control and Devonshire Lions fight to a 4-4 stalemate.

Chris Pitcher, Kevin Hodgson, Ernest McCallum and Lyle Millett scored for Lions, while E.Edness, L.Morgan, R.Simon and E.Spence got on the scoresheet for Pest Control.
