Orioles B during rain-plagued Bermuda Ladies Hockey Association action on

Canaries put constant pressure on their opponents, especially in the first half, but that seemed to motivate the Orioles who came out more inspired in the second half.

Orioles were quickly rewarded with a goal by Maxine Collins to give them a short-lived lead in the second half. Their glee turned to gloom when Young scored after a defensive miscue and Canaries took control of play for the remainder of the clash.

It was an uphill struggle during the entire game for Bluebirds A, 3-0 losers to Canaries A, who are undefeated this season. Carol Ferris scored two minutes into the game, quickly followed by another Canaries tally by Lisa Haynes.

Bluebirds showed improvement in the second half, but Emma Garon put the game out of reach with her goal to make it 3-0.

League newcomers Swifts A surprised Longtails A by holding them to a 0-0 draw, with Leigh Ann Shaw almost scoring for Swifts at one stage.

Rain affected play again on Sunday, but Bluebirds A defeated Cardinals A 1-0 with a first half goal by Georgie Allan.
