Millard Beach two-up in the 36 hole final.

Following the first 18 Pitt led by four, but Beach closed to within two at the 27th and levelled matters at number 30.

This signalled an exciting finish, with Pitt taking the 31st to go one up only to have Beach come back again, taking 34 after they halved 32 and 33.

But Pitt dug into his bag of tricks to win the 35th and a birdie on the last hole secured him his second title.

Meanwhile, Norriette Fox grabbed the women's gross title, while Cindy Hardart took honours in the net category.

The cut-off date for entries into the Ladies Amateur Match Play Championship scheduled for April 15-18 at Riddells Bay has been extended to April 8 due to lack of response. Entry forms must be mailed or delivered to BGA secretary Tom Smith.
