Randy Sommerville went five-for-five with a homer, two doubles and seven RBI, but it was all in vain as Anfossi & Butterfield edged Skandia Sabres 25-22 in
Sommerville's performance was offset by Jim Leitch (one homer, two RBI) and Kim Daniels (four RBI) who both went three-for-five for A&B. Cindy O'Brien went two-for-two for the Sabres. Randy Kowch was the winning pitcher and Rob Eastham the loser.
Doug Hillen drove in eight runs while going four-for-five with two homers as Flying Chef Flyers crushed International Risk Management 21-7. Art Badger went two-for-two with a homer and two RBI as Peter Smith got the win.
Brett Kohli and David Hackett went three-for-four for IRM and the losing pitcher was Todd Lahti.
The remaining game saw Marsh & McLennan get by Cooper & Lines 15-11. Steve Outerbridge went four-for-four with a homer and two RBI. Gordon Veale assisted by going four-for-four.
For Cooper & Lines, Mike Tribley went three-for-three with a homer and two RBI and Harold Aitken went three-for-four.
Peter Card was the winning pitcher and Lara Hoth the loser.
MARTIAL ARTS MAT The Bermuda Arts and Fitness Academy will be hosting a 10-week course entitled "Six Steps To Better Self Defence'' starting next Thursday, March 4.
The course will be run by the academy's chief instructor Al Wharton and will give instructions on the various ways of avoiding confrontations. There is much to be learned by Bermuda's women in particular who are the prime victims of crime.
There is a course fee of $100 but persons can get a $15 discount if they sign up on or before March 1.
Registration will take place at the academy, situation at the old Paget Sunday School, from 9 a.m. to noon on any Saturday.
BASKETBALL BAS The Bermuda Basketball Association's All-Star Game will be held at the NAS gymsnasium on March 7.
The event is sponsored by the NAS Black History Month Committee and will pit the NAS stars against Bermuda's best.
Spectators can cheer for their favourite women's All-Stars team at 4 p.m. and the men take to the court at 6.15 p.m.

ATHLETICS ATH The Bermuda Track and Field Association will be hold a camp at Paget Island from March 12-14 for persons aged under 19.
The cost is $10 and applications must be received by March 5. The camp is limited to 30 people. Applications may be obtained by calling Roy Simone at 295-1700 (work) or 236-3310 (home).
DARTS DRT The Champion of Champions competition will be played next Saturday and not on March 8 as previously stated.
