His catch came on a superb day for fishing as 44 were boated and 45 released.

Leading the seven-team tournament are Hatteras Trouble with 30,906 points aboard Alan Card's Challenger followed by Bermuda Anglers on 21,051 on Equalizer .

Robert Trosset of Hatteras is the top angler with 14,112 points thus far followed by team-mate and captain Buddy Sowers on 11,931.

The high point fish is a 43lb 2oz Yellowfin Tuna caught by Keith Winter of third-placed Reel Dealers.
