He was ably supported by Antoine Jones' 639 series, Dean Lightbourn's 622 and Ty Williams' 612, all of which propelled them to a top team game and series of 1-71 and 3055 respectively.

Ron Magnum rolled a fine 625 series in a losing effort.

Also posting high series and game totals were Cellular Centre, with 3018 series and 1070 game, good for second on the night. Woody Jones spearheaded the charge with a 258 game, while Steve Wales (629) and Walter Wilson (624) had solid series.

Thompson's took a 26-4 decision over Team Metro, Victor Thompson landing the night's second high series of 668, while Jackie Miller contributed 629.

Other matches had Genuine Draft squeak a 19-11 win against Team Electric, and Haagen-Dazs rolled past New Mix Ups 23-7 in a match that saw drama in the form of Wayne Ball rolling the first eight strikes before falling just short of a perfect game.
