Pierre Camare of France, Igor Laphin of the CIS, and another Franchman Georges Rose Sainte rounded out the top eight.

Conley won the competition with a mighty jump of 57 feet 11 inches.

Wellman is competing in Grand Prix events all over Europe as he prepares himself for his bid to capture Olympic gold.
