be decided -- who wins the title and who gets the third relegation spot.

PHC lead North Village by two points and if they win their final match at home to Wolves, they cannot be caught.

But if the Zebras manage anything less than a victory and North Village defeat Boulevard at Bernard Park, the Red Devils, whose goal difference is superior, will be champions.

At the other end of the table, Boulevard's defeat by Dandy Town yesterday realistically dropped them into the First Division.

Although the Blazers still have a mathematical chance of survival, their minus-19 goal difference means they would have to thrash Village by 22 goals to have any hope of staying up.

With St. David's already down, the third team to lose their Premier Division status will be either Somerset Trojans or Southampton Rangers -- and amazingly, the schedule has pitched the two clubs against each other in a last-day, do-or-die clash at Southampton Oval.

Trojans will take a three-point advantage into the game and need only a draw to survive. But after winning 5-0 at St. David's yesterday, Rangers' goal difference is superior and a victory by any score would keep them up.

The final day of the league season is currently scheduled for April 9 in just under two weeks' time.

But national coach Robert Calderon is pushing for it to be brought forward to next weekend to free players to concentrate on Bermuda's ongoing World Cup campaign.

Another ingredient in the melting pot is the Bermuda Under-23 team's Olympic qualifying tournament in Panama.

The team have matches on April 5 and 7 and are due to fly out next Sunday.

If Under-23 members were not available, Village would lose players like Jamaul Boyles and Kofi Dill, while PHC would lose star striker Steve Astwood.
