Island player to win a game in a team event at the World Junior Men's Squash Championships.

In Cairo, Egypt, on Sunday, Wheeler beat C.Charalampous of Cyprus in the second game of his match -- although the latter ended up advancing with a 3-1 score.

It was the first in Bermuda's three appearances in the prestigious competition. Then Bermuda's number one, Nick Kyme, went out and won the team's first individual match by beating Cyprus top seed N.Karasava by a 3-1 margin.

Earlier on Sunday, Austria proved to be too strong for Bermuda's young team despite a spirited effort by Kyme. Kyme, who last week won Bermuda's only match in the individual competition, led 8-4 but still went down to a 3-0 defeat as did his two team-mates.
