colts in their teams for today's second round clash in the Eastern Counties at Sea Breeze Oval.

St. David's have included 15-year-old batsman O.J. Pitcher, the son of former player Oliver Pitcher, while Cleveland will give a Counties debut to 17-year-old fast bowler David (VJ) Gibbons.

Gibbons was described yesterday as a bowler of "immense potential'' by Cleveland chairman for cricket, Grant Smith, and he can expect a tough baptism against a strong St. David's batting side.

"We're in good spirits and looking forward to the challenge,'' said Smith.

"I've seen a different attitude in the players, they are very upbeat. This is the season right here, so to speak.'' Injury has kept St. David's captain Shea Pitcher out for the second straight counties match while Kameron Fox was dropped in the only change. Del Hollis will again lead the team.

In the first round against Bailey's Bay, St. David's expressed concerns about the state of the Bay wicket to the Eastern Counties Cricket Association, but Cleveland are not seen as a similar threat, having had a modest season.

Cleveland have again named Peter Philpott of Police and Hasan Durham of Western Stars to their team while St. David's will rely on Albert Steede and Clay Smith to boost their batting.

Teams: St. David's -- Del Hollis (capt), Albert Steede, Chris Foggo, Clay Smith, O.J. Pitcher (colt), Allen Richardson, Sammy Robinson, Graham Fox, Lionel Cann, Rudell Pitcher, Herbie Bascome. Res: Landro Bascome, Fiqre Crockwell.

Cleveland -- Aaron Adams (capt), Curtis Jackson, Carlton Smith, Allan Douglas, Jason Simons, Peter Philpott, Hasan Durham, Johnny Richardson, Courtney Trott, Greg Talbot, David Gibbons (colt). Res: Geremy Fray, Andre Smith.

Clay Smith will be hoping to lead St. George's to their second title of the season before flying out to school on Monday when the east enders meet Western Stars in their final Premier Open match tomorrow.

St. George's hold a 10 point lead over Bailey's Bay and need a victory to prevent Bay from catching them. St. George's are hoping for an improvement to their squad after fielding only 10 men last weekend against Willow Cuts because of player unavailability.

Cuts will provide the opponents for Bay at Somerset while the other matches see Cleveland playing Devonshire at Wellington Oval and Police meeting Southampton Rangers at Police Field.
