The beginning of the final round of action in the Miller High Life bowling league produced mixed results.
Signature Card and Terminators fought to a 15-15 draw with only seven pins separating the two. All three games were competitive with Signature Card rolling the third high team game of 950, spearheaded by Oliver Franks, while Stephen Paul was consistent for Terminators with a 601 series.
Tools and Equipment and Thompsons battled to produce a top series of 2,762 with the former getting the better end of the match by winning 191 to 101 .
Victor Thompson paced the comeback with a high game of 268 and second high series of 612 to lead Thompsons, who also posted the second high team game of 960.
Dean Lightbourn continued his march toward high average with top series of the evening with a 640 and his second high game of 241.
The strangest match of the night was between New Mix Ups and Stevedoring Services. Rolling short-handed the first game, Stevedoring pulled together to win that game, but with a full team the next two games they managed to lose and wound up on the short end of a 19-11 result.
Vance Gilbert paced the winners with a 228 high game and 590 series while Ed Stovell was the top kegler for the losers.
Goslings maintained second place with their 23-7 win over Spoilers.
Despite the one-sided result there was a competitive second game which ended in a tie. Hank Rawlins was tops for the winners while Duncan Newbury was high for the losers.
The final match saw Marlboro crush Team Spirit 28-2 and posted the night's top game of 962 and second high series of 2,758.
Richard Zuill was the top roller for the winners while Robert Darrell was high bowler for Team Spirit, who was limited with that lone success for the match.

POOL POO Terrence Parsons, with 47 points, Gary Bascome 45 and Dennis Parsons 43 helped Swinging Doors I stay on top of the league as they beat Vasco III 200-169.
Robin Hood I stayed one game out of first place as they crushed Frog & Onion 228-157 with Nick Hansell making a perfect 50. Mark O'Connor, Freya Robinson and Wayne Adams chipped in with 47 points each.
Gasper Oliveira and Al Alves both made 50s as Vasco I surprised Robin Hood II 211-167 to demote Hood into third place.
Hamilton Parish got by War Vets II 184-168 with strong performances from Dion Burgess (45) and Bobby Smith (43).
Greg Falzone (50), Gary Skinner (47) and Sandy Sandhu (47) led Queens Club to an impressive 223-134 victory against Swinging Doors II.
Vasco III were victorious over War Vets I with Cliff Alison and Manuel Furtado each scoring 46 points.
