The Duckworth/Lewis system -- the formula used to adjust batting targets in rain-shortened matches -- is set to be used for the first time in Bermuda
And a meeting is being held tonight to explain it to umpires, scorers and club officials.
Umpire Randy Butler said Bermuda Cricket Board of Control were considering introducing the system for the Camel Cup -- but not for league matches.
Butler and fellow umpire George Francis will be the speakers at tonight's meeting at the boardroom of the Ministry of Youth and Sport at 7.30 p.m.
"We both attended lectures in the Caribbean on the Duckworth/Lewis system after being invited by the West Indies Cricket Board,'' said Butler.
He urged everyone going to tonight's meeting to bring along a calculator and a notebook.
GOLF GLF Dolly Winwick and Bonnie Tyler begin their defence of the Ladies Invitation Tournament net title at Mid Ocean Club today when they tee off in a field of 50 teams.
The 16th annual event, to be held over three days, has attracted players from five different countries -- including Poland -- with local resident Winwick and her Florida-based team-mate, Tyler, the pair to beat.
Also expected to be in contention again are Valerie Nearon of Bermuda and Florida's Carl Ratcliffe who were in first place in the net division entering the final round last year.
