Three courses hosted junior golf events on Saturday with the novices playing six holes at Belmont, the seniors negotiating Castle Harbour and groups one

David Boyce led the novices, firing 26 over six holes to defeat Ethan Branum (33) by seven shots. Ryan Marshall carded 34.

The girls' group saw Daisha Haxton lead the way at Princess with a score of 73 over 18 holes, ahead of Jennifer Spurling (74), Bonnie Liebowitch (75) and Lindsey Sims (75).

Rajesh Pachai led the Group I boys over 13 holes with a score of 45 - six ahead of Charles Markey (51) with Nick Dunkle third on 52.

Chris Smith fired an 18-hole total of 68 to win the Group II boys with Karol Moore on 72 and Aaron James 73.

James later won the putting shoot-out over Lindsey Sims.

At Castle Harbour David James won the Group IV division with a 15-hole total of 63, closely followed by Robert Spurling on 65 and Craig Brown on 68.

In Group III there was a three-way tie for first place on 69 between Patrick Graham, Damon Smith and Chris Tully.

The previous week saw David James come from eight shots back to tie Craig Brown in the final round of the four-week Bermuda Trophy tournament.

But on the first play-off hole, Ocean View's ninth, Brown won with a par after James bogeyed.
