The Under-13 All-Star game on Friday will pit an East Select against a West Select at Devonshire Rec. -- a 30-overs match, starting at 2.00 p.m.

In the clash between teams from the Under-16 league, the East and West meet in a 50-overs game at Lord's on Saturday, starting at 10.00 a.m.

Randy Horton, chairman of the Board's Youth Development Committee, said the two matches would signal an end to the league season for the youngsters and believed the games would produce some exciting cricket since they feature the most promising players in the two leagues.

"Again we are asking the public to show the same enthusiastic support that they gave during the league matches. And we are particularly asking all of the league players, even those not chosen for these particular games, to show up as a prize presentation will follow which could involve everybody,'' said Horton.

"While this sums up play involving the league parish teams, many of the youngsters will be involved in the Board's youth clinics and then again there are the county matches that will take place. So there is still plenty of activity left for them,'' added Horton.
