Town and Cougars advance
St. David's have had a couple of close FA Cup matches with First Division teams in the last few years, but this wasn't one of them.
The Islanders were routed last night at Devonshire Rec. as Dandy Town, even with three goals disallowed, were far too strong for their Second Division opponents as Chris Anderson and schoolboy Heys Wolfe led them with hat-tricks.
Anderson was unlucky to have a goal ruled out for offside after only three minute after standing at least a yard behind the last St. David's defender Del Hollis when he received a pass inside the box.
But there was no stopping the striker once he did find the net in the 12th minute with a low shot into the corner. Anderson added a second in the 30th minute when he followed up on a fumble by goalkeeper Sidney Minors.
Two referee decisions went for and against Town in the last two minutes of the half, first when Jomar Wilkinson's indirect freekick was touched by goalkeeper by Minors' fingertips before finding the roof of the net. Referee Lawrence DeShields ruled that the ball went in untouched.
A minute later the ball looked to have crossed the goal line before Damon Ming crossed it back into the middle where Anderson scored from close range to complete his hat-trick.
Five more goals came in the final 20 minutes of the game as Wolfe helped himself to a hat-trick. He opened his account with the best goal of the game in the 70th minute when his shot from the edge of the box found the `pigeon-hole'.
Six minutes later the youngster made it 5-0 when a shot from inside the box and in the 78th minute substitute Seyoum Tuzo followed to score from a rebound.
After Anderson had another goal ruled out for offside St. David's finally scored in the 84th minute when substitute James Millard scored into the near post.
The game was in the last minute when Wolfe competed his hat-trick. Tuzo did the work down the right side and after avoiding two challenges crossed into the middle where Wolfe tucked the ball home to make it 7-1.

Cougars held all the pressure in the first 25 minutes but had nothing to show for it as Prospect hung on. Against the run of play Prospect had their best chance in the first half in the 26th but John Richmond shot weakly from the freekick inside the box.
Right at the half Shawn Smith went forward for a Cougars freekick and connected with a header that hit the far post.
The Cougars pressure continued in the second half with Wali Salaam going close after stretching to meet a cross. Then the midfielder watched as his cross from a corner on the left was met at the far post by Zuill and blocked on the line by Robin Hollinsid.
The goal came seconds later in the 63rd minute when a cross to the edge of the box by substitute Delmair Trott was chested down by Zuill and then volleyed left-footed into the top corner.
Prospect goalkeeper Andrew Bissell tipped a shot from Stephen Coddington over the bar as Cougars tried to stretch their lead. And after Mark Smith put a shot against the post, Cougars finally did get a second goal in the last minute when Zuill ran onto a ball down the middle and slotted a low shot past the advancing Bissell.
