Wright clocked 16 minutes 27 seconds with de ste Croix just seven seconds back in 16.34 followed by Jamal Hart in third place in 16.43.

Jennifer Fisher was a comfortable winner in the ladies' division, clocking 18.56. Leslie Caslin placed second in 19.37 and teenager Laura Turner third in 20.29.

More than 140 runners started the race.

CHESS CHS Tonight's competition at the Chess Club will be for the Kottnauer Trophy in which players will be allowed just ten seconds for each move. Players should register at the Chamber of Commerce by 7.45 p.m.
