Tumbridge rebounded from a disappointing Olympic Games, where she was forced to abandon her challenge due to her horse, Bermuda's Option, sustaining an injury, to finish 33rd out of 78 participants at the CCI Four Star Horse Trials in Lincolnshire, England.

Lying 26th following the dressage phase, Tumbridge, aboard her second mount Bermuda's Pizzazz was assessed 7.2 time penalties on the steeplechase phase and after taking most of the longer routes on the cross-country course had even more time penalties. A refusal by Pizzazz attempting the direct route at a water jump raised her total to 131.60 at the conclusion of the second day, leaving her 37th.

However, the 28-year-old showed true grit with a flawless show jumping round -- one of only eight clear rounds -- in appalling conditions to improve to her final position.

Charlotte Hollingsworth won the event riding Cool Customer and totalling 66 penalties while world champion Blyth Tait was second on 68.2 and Tim Randle third (71.6). Of the original field less than three quarters (56) managed to complete the event.

Meanwhile, young Collins made a statement of his ability on the basis of a sixth-place finish in the Open Intermediate Section of the Taunton Horse Trials.

A dressage score of 38 and clear show jumpging and cross-country left the 16-year-old rubbing elbows with the 48-member division's upper echelon, which was won by Olympian Mary Thompson.
