Unbeaten Bay looking to extend their record
as ever'' according to skipper Chris Smith.
And they have the record to back up their captain's confidence with four wins and no defeats after six matches -- good for second place in the Premier Division.
Cynics might point to the soft schedule the men from Sea Breeze have enjoyed so far and say they have yet to be put to the test.
But Bay will point to the Camel Cup in their trophy cabinet.
Victims on the way to that title -- the first on the local calendar -- included defending league champions St. George's, as well as their immediate predecessors Western Stars. Now sixth placed Cleveland are looked at as the next morsel to be devoured.
Still, Smith yesterday stopped short of predicting an outright win and had some concern about the strength of his bowling attack.
"I know its going to be a tough game, they are no pushovers and we are not going to underestimate them,'' he said. "But we are going into the game feeling as confident as ever, even though the last two weekends have been costly to us when we've lost some vital points because of rain.
"One thing that has affected us is that we have been playing most of our matches with just one attack bowler. Most of the time either (Anthony) Braithwaite or (Terry) Burgess have been unavailable because of work commitments.
"I'm not certain about the situation on Sunday, but both of them have been out training regularly this week and I'm hoping they will be available.'' Not much doubt remains about their batting prowess, which is evidenced by their strike rate of 27.56, second highest in the division behind leaders Police (30.82).
Charlie Marshall, Cal (Patches) Dill and Devrae Hollis have all made significant contributions with the willow.
One factor going against Cleveland is that they have not played in two weeks and may be rusty.
Much has been expected from the boys from Harris Bay, but they already find themselves in a hole due to consecutive abandonments.
Meanwhile, Police get a chance to pad their lead with an away match against winless Somerset Bridge.
Remaining matches see Central Counties champs Western Stars entertaining Flatts, Devonshire welcoming Social Club to the Den, Southampton travelling to face Hamilton Parish at Shelly Bay, St. David's away to Warwick and east meeting west as St. George's host arch rivals Somerset at Wellington Oval.
