Under the expert guidance of driver Eddie Roque, Shamrock Tuxedo on Sunday smashed the track record at Vesey Street on the way to a pair of first place

Tuxedo, which had in previous weeks showed signs of going past the then mark of one minute, eight seconds -- jointly held by Tuxedo and Abbies Casanova -- finally got the push needed in Sunday's second running of the free-for-all and clocked a blistering 1:07.2.

This came after Tuxedo had barely edged former record-holder Nateway in the first race.

Meanwhile, young Nicholas DeCosta jumped out of the 1:20-1:26.8 time bar as he guided Tuff's Little Missy to a pair of wins.

Other two-time winners on the day were Ralph L Time (Jason Jones), racing out of Chopper's stables, Bermuda Warrior (Francis DeSilva) Abby Dabby Doo (Charles Whited) and Ponderbabe.

There was a split in the 1:14-1:16.8 bar as Sandtrap (Sergio Burgess) and Sandacre Tashiba (Reggie Mathie) shared honours.

Next race day is January 23.

GOLF GLF Howard Cutts scored his second hole-in-one on the number five at Belmont in less than a year during Belmont's Monthly Medal on the weekend.

Keith Cassidy was the net winner with a 65, followed by Ken Elkins' 66 and Ian Crawford on 69. Gross winner was Steven Perry.

NETBALL NET 7-Up Netts won the Milo Tournament over the weekend, defeating Cardinals 15-12 in the final and ending the tournament unbeaten in five matches.

The champions proved too much for the competition as they downed Cardinals 14-9 in the opening match, followed by victories against AICO (16-7), PCC (13-8) and Netts (16-7).

Meanwhile, Cardinals earned their way to the final after besting the likes of Hamilton Parish (15-7), PCC (11-10), AICO (18-10) and Netts (14-8).

Taking honours in the Junior Milo Tournament was North Village as they outlasted Hamilton Parish in the two leg final.
