the wrong foot as they went down 2-0 to Fire Service on Saturday.

And Robin Hood, who finished second to Wanderers last season in Group A, almost suffered the same fate as they had to pull out all the stops to score a 3-2 win over Lobster Pot who led 2-0 at the half.

An own goal, a strike from Simons and the winner from Mike Stenhouse five minutes from the end accounted for Hood's goals which gave them two wins out of two.

Wanderers, who lost only once last season in finishing three points ahead of Hood, were stunned by a 23rd minute goal by Kenny Bartrum before an own goal by Kevin Hanson in the 70th minute ended their hopes of a fightback and gave Fire their second straight win. To add to their misery, Wanderers also had Mark Thorne sent off in the 43rd minute for violent conduct.

Stevie Dickinson scored four times as North Village Rams beat Prison Officers 7-2. Ross Lambe added two while Michael Richardson got the other for the Rams.

A.Scott and C.Smith replied for Officers.

MR Onions bounced back from their narrow loss to Hood last weekend to beat Mariners 4-0. D.Outrim scored twice while J.McLeod and E.Geraghty got the others.

In Group B, St. George's All-Stars and PHC Raiders both won for the second straight time, with the All-Stars beating Valley 4-1 and Raiders edging by Devonshire Lions 4-3.

Larry (Cocky) Steede scored twice while Charles Wade and Milton Jones got the others for the All-Stars who were without both of their regular goalkeepers and had Cal Richardson between the posts.

Raiders were involved in a see-saw battle with Lions before coming out narrow winners. Gary Bascome gave the Lions a 2-0 lead with goals in the 12th and 30th minutes before Keith Bell pulled one back in the 33rd minute with the first of his two goals.

Brian (Bulla) Anderson made it 2-2 in the 40th minute but a minute later Donald Norford restored the Lions lead at 3-2. That would prove to be the last of the scoring for them, however, as Des Minors made it 3-3 in the 55th and Bell hit the winner in the 75th.

Belco edged by Wolves Pack 3-2 with four of the five goals coming in the last 20 minutes. Shawn Spencer broke the deadlock in the 50th minute and Dennis Pimental made it 2-0 in the 70th.

Gary Peniston replied for Wolves in the 80th before Michael Brangman scored for Belco in the 86th and Greg Talbot a minute later for Wolves. Sinclair Boyles of Belco was sent off in the 65th minute for a second bookable offence.
