Field tonight (7 p.m.), looking for revenge.

An extra-time defeat by Town in the final of the same competition last season denied Wolves their first major trophy.

The second match of tonight's double header will feature Devonshire Colts taking on North Village (9 p.m.).

Coach Dennis Brown will start this campaign looking for more of the steady progress which has marked his first four years at the helm of Wolves.

The club's confidence has been boosted after they picked up as many as six quality players in the transfer market with Premier Division experience.

Albert Caisey and Diallo Sharrieff joined from Vasco and Leroy Stevens from Boulevard, while forwards Shaki Crockwell of Boulevard, Chae Simmons of St.

David's and goalkeeper Corby Durrant of PHC have also signed up.

With these in the fold, the coach feels their ranks have been considerably bolstered and it will show in time.

Even if success is not immediate the coach is convinced that the Wolves fans will have plenty to cheer about sooner or later. "I'm very pleased with our situation at Wolves going into the season, the squad does look good,'' said Brown.

"This is my fifth season and each year we have made good improvement and what I want to tell the fans is that we have told the players that we intend to play well from back to front and if we do then we will have a tremendous season,'' he said.

"The support of the fans at Wolves has always been great, I admired it before I got here and since I have had an opportunity to see things closer I am even more overwhelmed.'' Continued on page 19 Wolves keen Continued from page 17 "One of my main goals is that we must work towards maintaining our focus and concentration on the total 90 minutes, most matches last year we dominated teams for 60 minutes and for some apparent reason there was no consistency -- it's a total 90-minute thing we must do to take us to another level,'' insisted the coach.

He added: "One thing that we were searching for this year was some experience to go along with the young players that we have, I think that was the big downfall in a lot of games last year.

"We dominated but in the end our inexperience took its toll, especially when we played experienced teams like Dandy Town and a few others.

Brown can now field a formidable side, which will be the envy of many coaches.

"I am pretty pleased with the make-up of the squad at the moment, just looking at it it's pretty hard to pick a solid 11 right now, but that's a good headache to have I would say.
