Wright first in 10 miler
fast-finishing Brett Forgesson to win yesterday's Evian 10 miler.
And there was no denying Karen Adams, who like Forgesson had won the past two weeks' five mile races, as she romped to a third straight win.
Wright, a member of Bermuda's bronze medal winning team at the recent CAC cross-country championships, established an early lead yesterday and never relinquished it, although Forgesson did close the gap over the last half of the out-and-back course -- from the Lagoon property in Paget out to Mid Ocean Club and back.
Wright clocked 56.06 with Forgesson following in 56.28 and Andrew Doble taking third in 57.11.
Adams was a comfortable ladies' winner, clocking 64.11, more than four minutes ahead of defending champion and first master Jane Christie (68.56). Ann Feakins was the third woman in 70.58.
