Tournament on Saturday, with a pulsating two run win over a nine-man Cleveland outfit. Scores: St. David's 175 for five, Cleveland 173.

Batting first, Islanders' skipper Scott Tucker led by example as he hit out for 22 runs and later returned to post figures of two for three from just over two overs.

He was joined in the batting department by Kameron Fox, who blasted an unbeaten 29, while Otis Minors and Ankoma Cannonier each tallied 21.

In fact, all but one of the six St. David's batsmen to see action made it into double figures, with openers Chris Foggo and Burton Outerbridge weighing in with 16 and 13 respectively.

James Pitcher grabbed three wickets at a cost of 26 runs for Cleveland, with Lavar Talbot and Monroe Darrell each managing one apiece.

Turning around to field, St. David's were stung with a fine display of batting by Cleveland's Jeremy Fray, who raced to 49 before falling to a catch by Fox.

Opening partner Monroe Darrell aided with 14 as the home side staged a gallant fight despite their shortage.

W.Pitcher went for 21 and Talbot offered late resistance in a dogged innings of 34 to bring them close to victory. R.Paynter carried on the fight, but fell short as he was last out for 10.
