Aitken falls short in 50 freestyle

Top Bermuda swimmer Kiera Aitken failed to make the last stage of the 50 metres freestyle at the CAC Games in Puerto Rico – but the Female Athlete of the Year did qualify for last night's 200 metres backstroke finals.
In the 100 metres breastroke Julian Fletcher dropped 1.3 seconds off his best time but finished ninth, missing the finals by just .04 seconds on Thursday.
Yesterday, Lisa Blackburn swam a solid race in the 50 metres breaststoke but was unable to make the finals.
