A number of the Island's most promising track and field athletes will be travelling abroad this weekend to compete.

Fifteen athletes from the Flyers Club and eight members of the Pacers Club will take part in the Northeast Track and Field meet in Miami.

Tre Houston and Alexis Bean – who just returned from a high performance meet in Boston, recording a personal best of 2.14.11 in the 800 metres – and Allison Outerbridge will all compete in the New England Championships in Boston.

Ryan Furbert placed first in his 800 metres in a time of 2.00.57 at the same Boston meet in which Bean recorded his PB.
