BCB trio return from ICC course
Three of the Bermuda Cricket Board's top men will return to Bermuda today having spent the last week learning how to improve the country's approach to the business of cricket.
BCB president Reginald Pearman along with executive director Neil Speight and national coach Gus Logie have been in England at an International Cricket Council (ICC) course for associate members.
The aim of the intensive five-day course, held at Manchester Business School, was to help countries such as Bermuda with the administration side of the game.
The specialist programme covered areas including "strategic management in a changing environment, talent identification and recruitment, business models for sport, talent development and presentation, organisational design, stakeholder mapping, international competition scheduling and athlete services and transition".
Jon Long, ICC's Manager of Member Services and Corporate Affairs, said: "The ICC takes the development needs of its members very seriously and is well placed through this partnership with the World Academy of Sport to deliver a practical educational programme that produces clear outcomes that can be implemented on the ground in each nation."
Director of the World Academy of Sport, Chris Solly said: "We are excited to be working with the ICC on this project. We believe that one of our key strengths is our flexible and outcome-driven approach to learning through tailored programmes designed to meet the specific needs of our partners."
