Boyles: A lesson in defeat

Bermuda Grey coach Devarr Boyles is adamant last night's defeat was not a setback, but a bump in the road to where they want to be.
West Ham skipper Blair Turgott and striker Dylan Tombrides both netted hat-tricks in their team's runaway win, while Irish youth international Kieran Sadlier also scored a brace.
Bermuda's goal scorers were Chikosi Basden and Quintonio Lema from the penalty spot.
Turgott got the scoring started when he converted from the penalty spot before Tombrides doubled the lead shortly after.
Two minutes into the second half Basden breathed new life into the match when he scored from close range to make it 2-1.
Turgott then got his second after he was put in by a through ball and then striker Tombrides headed home to make it 4-0.
Not to be left out midfielder Sadlier drilled home and then Turgott again struck to complete his hat-trick.
Bermuda's Lema then stepped up to neatly plant home his spot kick, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.
It was to be a consolation goal as Sadlier got his second to complete the rout.
Although the Bermuda side have now shipped 13 goals in their last two games, coach Boyles admitted that his young side – the youngest of the four in the tournament – will learn a lot from the chastening experience.
"This match wasn't a setback but rather a lesson in the game," said Boyles. "We have struggled from the trip to Florida to now. We had broken down the match to 25-minute periods and now we are at 35-minute periods and we have seen improvement in the games.
"In the first half it was 2-0 and the second was 6-2 so we are scoring but over the course of the game the bigger, stronger player will take a toll and today we saw that.
"I think we did well, I'm pleased with what we are doing and we are looking to move on.
"It is never easy when you concede goals – it is more mental that anything else and for them to see the goals go in they die slowly and we are trying to find ways to bring their focus back."
