BTFA hold last event in cross-country series

Bermuda Track and Field Association will be staging the last event of their Onion cross-country series at Chaplin Bay tomorrow.

And with a number of age groups closely contested, competition is expected to be fierce.

Current points leaders are:

Under-10 Girls – Anasia Barclay.

Under-10 Boys – Sean Tucker and Finn Hutton.

Under 12 Girls – Kyra Scraders and Jordan Bascome.

Under-12 Boys – Justin Ferreira and Diondre Dowling.

Under-14 Girls – Shuntae Hendrickson.

Under-14 Boys – Dage Minors and Nakeno Creighton.

Under-17 Girls – Taylor Bean, Ashley Berry and Megan Berry.

Under-17 Boys – Emmanuel Smith-Joyiens and Juma Mouchette.

Under-20 Girls – Alexis Bean.

Under-20 boys – Darico Clarke.

Women – Joanne Shillington and Dawn Richardson.

Men – Calvert Lee.

Masters Women – Carol Griffith.

Masters Men – Kavin Smith.

Senior Masters Women – Florence Sharpe-Trott, Midge Oliver.

Senior Masters Men– Mark Albouy, and Mike Whalley.

Three schools, Saltus, Warwick Academy and Bermuda High School, have entered the most athletes in previous events during the series.

n On Sunday the BTFA will hold their first track meet of the season at the National Sports Centre.

The 'Odds' meet will feature the 60 metres, 60 metres hurdles, 150 metres, 300 metres, 600 metres, 1200 metres, triple jump, long jump and high jump.
