last year after handing Hamilton Parish a convincing 50-36 defeat at the weekend.

The result placed the current leaders point total at 21 compared to 19 for second-placed AICO, who have played two games more but have just two games left.

After breaking this Saturday for another installment of the Squad Round Robin tournament, 7-Up Netts can "seal the deal'' the following week when they face AICO, who will be in a must-win situation.

Mainstay Carolyn Binns, as has been the case all year, carried the scoring load for Netts during their encounter with Hamilton Parish.

Binns rained in 41 goals from her goal-shooter's position while goal-attack Denise Perinchief posted nine. These totals served to offset another fine effort from Parish's Alex Dowling who had 30 in a losing effort, with the remaining six tossed from the fingertips of Jadira Harvey.

Still kicking themselves after that upsetting loss against Parish back on January 15, which appears to have ruined their chances of a repeat of last year's league triumph, AICO kept alive now dimming hopes in downing third-placed PCC 47-24.

Debbie DeShields once again played her part with 40 goals assisted by seven from Vernelle Flood. For PCC, Rose Richardson notched 15 and Sheena Maybury nine.

Already mathematically eliminated from contention, Cardinals still showed much enthusiasm during their 42-27 victory against bottom club Warwick Redbirds while Olympic Panthers added to the misery of fellow cellar-dwellers North Village with a 42-22 hammering.
