Cleveland crush Rec at Lord's
With the Cup Match trials this weekend, only two league matches were played yesterday in the Premier and First Division.
In the Premier Division Cleveland defeated Devonshire. Rec by 10 wickets at Lord's, St. David's.
Batting first, Devonshire were bowled out for 109. Cleveland easily crossed the required total without losing a wicket, finishing 110 without loss.
In the only First Division match of the day, a fine knock of 66 from opener Treadwell Gibbons Jr. guided Western Stars to a four-wicket victory over Leg Trappers at St. John's Field.
Leg Trappers posted a competitive 184 for seven in their allotted overs.
However, Gibbons along with Wayne Campbell (37) and Justin Robinson (44) made sure the home side crossed the line ending the game 190 for six.
