Dandy Town did the double last night at the Bermuda Football Association's (BFA) ninth annual prize presentation as Raymond Beach and Jenay Edness won the Male and Female Most Valuable Player awards respectively for the 2008/09 season.
Beach beat out the likes of former teammates Ajani Gibbons of Boulevard and Kwame Steede of Devonshire Cougars to claim the MVP award.
The striker, who returned to the St. John's Road club this year from Cougars, went on a scoring binge as he bagged a total of 27 goals in all competitions, including 16 in league on his way to his second award of the night, the Premier League leading goal scorer.
One of the reasons Town were in the hunt for every piece of silverware this term had a lot to do with the Island's most potent striker and the importance of goals at crucial periods in a match for his club.
Dandy Town coach Scott Morton received the prestigious honours for the striker, which were presented to him by Sports Minister Glenn Blakeney at the North Field Cricket Pavilion.
Edness completed a memorable evening for the club after she notched her maiden Female MVP award, although her side had a season that was below their usual high standards.
The Stars stalwart beat out Juanita Coley and Malin Anderson to take the top prize.
Cougars coach Devaar Boyles won Coach of the Year, Hamilton Parish 'keeper Nigel Burgess won led the way in his category for the second year running with Sharifa Crockwell claiming the Female prize.
