DUDLEY EVE CUP
Last night's Dudley Eve Cup games at Somerset Cricket Club were postponed following the death of a Dandy Town player in a road traffic accident yesterday.
Dandy Town had been due to play Devonshire Cougars last night, but the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) took the decision to move the game out of respect for the family and the Western Stars Sports Club.
"On behalf of the Bermuda Football Association council, staff and the entire football family, we extend our condolences to the family and the Western Stars Sports Club," said a BFA spokesman.
The First Division clash between Somerset Eagles and Somerset Trojans that was due to be played prior to the Town game last night was also postponed.
Those matches will now take place tomorrow at St David's, with the First Division game starting at 12 p.m. and the Town v Cougars clash kicking-off at 2.30 p.m.
The finals, which would have been played tomorrow, will now be played next Tuesday at Somerset Cricket Club starting at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
