Extra transport for Cup Match
Cup Match in Somerset.
Officials have beefed up the transport options to the West End on both Thursday and Friday to make it easier for those who wish to go to the annual event.
Two extra buses from St. George's to Somerset have been laid on for both days.
Leaving at 7.15 a.m. and 8 a.m., the buses will go direct to Somerset via Hamilton.
And in addition, transport supervisors will be stationed in the West End to call on extra vehicles as demand warrants it.
Ferries will run on a Saturday timetable, instead of the normal public holiday service, giving customers nearly double the usual number of trips.
And the summer service from Dockyard to St. George's and back again will also be running tomorrow.
There will be no garbage and recycling collection tomorrow and Friday due to the Cup Match holiday.
The Works and Engineering Ministry said garbage and recyclables will instead be picked up on Saturday.
Garbage and recyclables should therefore be placed outside by 7.30 a.m.
The Tynes Bay drop-off area will be open as usual through Cup Match from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
