Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton has praised Khano Smith's versatility after he filled in as an emergency left-back during the Imps' 1-1 draw against Cheltenham.

Sutton said he was impressed with the Bermuda international when he came off the bench following Aaron Brown's dismissal in the 22 minute against the Robins last weekend.

"Khano Smith did okay when he came on and when he switched to left-back he showed good athleticism. He didn't do badly at all," said Sutton.

Smith has signed a short-term deal with the League Two side until January. Lincoln face Grimsby Town in a basement battle on Saturday.

n Bermuda defender Logan Alexander has been tipped to make an impact for Baltimore Blast in this season's National Indoor Soccer League (NISL).

The defending champions, who lost to Rockford Rampage in last weekend's opening match of the campaign, play Philadelphia Kixx at home on Saturday.

"Logan Alexander out of Bermuda – good solid defender, young player, gives us pace and closure out of the back," said Blast head coach, Danny Kelly.
