The Bank of Butterfield Flyers, behind the solid pitching performance of Rick Johansen, scorched Ernst and Young 15-11. Mike Malott and John Grogan had three hits apiece for Ernst and Young, while Scott Pitcher (four RBI) and Paul Cashin (three hits) provided the offensive muscle for Flyers. John Grogan was losing pitcher.
Sandys battered Bobcats 13-7 as David DeSilva shone on the mound and at the plate. He was three-for-three while Gina Sousa cracked two hits and two RBI.
Losing pitcher Cam Renaud could only count on help from Joe Zuiker, with three hits, and Don Noyes, who slammed a pair of doubles.
