Hot shot Furtado stars in University team
Jessica Furtado was named Capers Athlete of the Week for the second time in her first season playing for Cape Breton University women's football team in Canada.
The Bermuda international was also named player of the match in last Sunday's win over St. Francis-Xavier
The midfielder has helped the Capers extend their unbeaten streak to seven games and scored for the Capers as they battled to a 1-1 drew against Mount Allison.
Having netted four times this season, Furtado is her team's top goalscorer.
The Bermudian and her team-mates will wrap up the regular season at home this weekend when they host the University of Moncton on Saturday before Acadia University come to town on Sunday.
Both games are set to be played at the Cape Breton Health Recreation Complex pitch.
