Mark Kaplen and Gary Carr also went two-for-four for the losers. Dennis Pamplin was the winning pitcher while Mark Kaplen took the loss.

Barry Mah went two-for-four to lead Wildcats to a 8-4 victory over Sousa's with James Thomas getting the win and Alan Desilva the defeat.

Butterfield and Steinhoff edged Elbow Beach 19-16 behind some hard hitting by Dan Koshowski and Andy Yonda. Yonda went four-for-four with a double and two rbi's while Koshowski went three-for-four with a homer, double and four RBIs.

Steve Green was the winning pitcher while Mark Conklin suffered the loss.

SOCCER SOC Forties defeated Island Rangers 4-1 in Monday night's Commercial League Cup Group A final at BAA field.

Island Rangers took an early lead but Forties fought back bravely with Bryan Fubler scoring a hat-trick and Derek Patience getting the other goal.

In the Group B final North Village Rams beat Fire Services 2-1 in extra time.

GOLF GLF Steve Dawson was successful in his first Village Room event, winning the Memorial Tournament at Port Royal on Sunday.

The next tournament will be held at Ocean View on Saturday with a shot-gun start set for 8 a.m.
