In form Hood riding high
Robin Hood forced their way to the top of the Commercial league with a hard fought victory over a lively Key West Rangers team.
The Hood's goals came either side of half time with Brian Fubler playing a neat one-two with Kenny Dill before beating the Rangers keeper at the near post. Keenan Robinson scored a brilliant individual goal in the second half to secure the three points.
BAA lie behind on goal difference after their third win on the trott with a 3-1 triumph over PHC Raiders.
Wanderers started brightly and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 5th minute when Adam Shaw finished well after good approach work from Paul Colvin.
BAA continued to pile on the pressure and Dave Gibbs doubled their lead after 15 minutes again the assist coming from the hard working Colvin.
PHC made a number of changes at half time and were rewarded immediately with a goal from Sammy Swan.
BAA however regained their two-goal cushion with a goal from Martin Jones.
Lobster Pot lie third after a 0-0 draw with Dandy Town Roots while champions MR Onions beat Tuff Dogs 3-2.
MR Onions scored just before the break via Leo Lucisano. But Tuff Dogs equalised early in the second half through hard working Adam Griffiths who forced the ball over the line from a corner.
Onions struck back twice through Dave Martin before Dogs scored in injury time through a fierce 20-yard free kick from Ian Mullins.
North Village are fifth after a 10-1 crushing of hapless Prospect/Fire. Richard Wilson grabbed a hat-trick while team-mates Ricardo Hoyte, Damon Wade, Cornell Robinson, Ricky Hill, Stephen Coddington, Donald Whitman and Kevin Bailey all notched.
In the B Division St. George's beat Vasco 1-0. Vasco controlled a lot of the play but were left ruing a Ricardo Arruda first-half penalty miss when William (Apples) Richardson finished off a neat move he began from deep by rounding the keeper and slotting into the empty net.
Two goals from Justin Pitcher, one from Rudell Pitcher and Jerimiah Wilson helped St. David's to a 4-2 victory over Somerset Bridge who hit back via Kirk Simons and James Xavier.
Fueled by a Corey Hill hat-trick Hamilton Parish walloped Valley 5-2 with Alvin Baker and Sean Dill also on target. Damien Baxter and Troy Simmons were on the score sheet for Valley.
In the B Division Group Two Somerset Extros keep up their hundred percent record with the 6-0 thumping of Pest Control. Michael Corday scored four while Richard Scott and John Arruda completed the rout.
MR Onions lie second after hammering a shorthanded Dockyard Falcons 10-1. Mick Gilliland and substitute Roland Meadows each grabbed hat-tricks, Rich Phinn got two while Darren Choonucksing and Mike Baker got a goal apiece a ten-man Falcons fell apart in the second-half.
Falcon's consolation came via a classy long-range lob from Dwayne DeRosa. Wolves picked up their first points of the season with a 5-4 win over Devonshire All-Stars.
