Wright placed a respectable 19th in his first race among a fleet which contains top international sailors, but hasn't been able to finish better than 25th in the six races since.
Yesterday he was in 28th position overall with another six races still remaining.
Berkeley, suffering from technical problems, has a best finish of 28th.
In his seventh race, 20 knot winds blew his craft over, leaving him to tread water. He didn't finish the race and now lies 35th overall.
Among those competing are Hank Lammens of Canada, the current leader and a two-time world champion. Following in second place is New Zealand's Craig Monk, gold medallist at the 1992 Olmypics in Barcelona, while third place belongs to another Canadian, Richard Clarke.
Bermuda's Elizabeth Walker begins competition in the regatta in the 470 class tommorrow, but Megan Spurling who was due to sail with her has suffered a back injury which could force her to pull out.
Berkeley will head to Toronto for another regatta later this week.
