Beijing-bound Arantxa King finished fifth in the women's long jump at the IAAF World Junior Championships, in Poland on Saturday.

Stanford University student King, who has been given a wild card for this summer's Olympics along with high jumper Tyrone Smith, jumped 6.31 metres. The winner Ivana Spanovic performed a leap of 6.61 metres.

Spanovic took silver at last year's World Youth Championships.
