Dandy Town v Boulevard

The first weekend of the second half of the season will see many intriguing matches, but none more so than this clash at BAA Field.

The league leaders will host the hottest team in the league at BAA Field with the winner potentially ending the weekend top of the charts.

In Boulevard, the break may have been a blessing to get their charges reorganised for a real fight for the league title.

With many injured players returning, Blazers will be back to full strength against Hornets. But Hornets have been putting in some masterful displays of late and will need another one in this showdown.

Both sides will be looking to start the second half on a good note knowing the chasing pack are not far behind.

Prediction: Draw 1-1

Devonshire Cougars v

Somerset Eagles

Revenge will be on the cards for the defending champions who lost to Eagles in dramatic fashion on the opening day of the season.

Cougars will be encouraged by their performance against Trinidad last week, but will need that type of performance every match if they are to retain their crown.

And first up for them will be the Eagles side who bought them back down to reality in their first encounter with a 3-2 win.

Since that match, however, the West Enders have had an indifferent campaign having gone off the boil towards the break.

Some poor results have seen the side slip close to the relegation zone and they will need to get something out of this match at Devonshire Rec.

Prediction: Cougars 3-1

North Village v

Devonshire Colts

Village will have a chance to leapfrog a few teams above them with a win over Colts at Police Field.

Although, considering how well Colts have been playing recently this will shape up to be a interesting match.

Arguably the most complete side in the league, Village must start picking up points against opposition they are supposed to beat. This will be a real test for Shaun Goater's team coming out of the break.

The break has had many teams reassess their ambitions, but Colts have the same focus as they had at the beginning, to improve on last year's performances and they are doing just that so far this term.

They could add another big scalp to the ones they already have claimed if Rams are not committed to the cause.

Prediction: Village 2-0

Somerset Trojans v Hamilton Parish

Tonight's relegation six pointer will go a long way to determining where both teams finish in the league table.

With both sides lying in the bottom two, the onus will certainly be on the hosts in this match who will need to pick up their game and grab points they should be expecting to take. Going up against basement side Parish at Somerset Cricket Club will not be an easy proposition with Angelo Cannonier and Jamie Smith both looking to pick their side up out of relegation and make some movement towards the middle of the table.

Prediction: Trojans 2-1

Southampton Rangers v PHC

Rangers will be bolstered by the arrival of Keith Jennings and Travis Wilkinson in their quest to get away from the relegation zone.

Jennings' first match will be a crucial one, especially considering they are playing their tenants, PHC at Southampton Oval. Rangers ended the first half on a sour note, with sub par performances against Dandy Town and North Village and will have to improve considerably if they to get into Dudley Eve next term.

PHC will have to continue their defensive cohesion that has seen them get back into the thick of the title race.

With their back four returning to solid form late it will be down to PHC's attackers to find the net, a quality they have improved upon this season.

Prediction: PHC 3-2
