Lincoln let go Bermuda winger Smith

Khano Smith

Bermuda international Khano Smith is once again looking for a new club after being released by English League Two side Lincoln City.

Smith became manager Chris Sutton's first signing at the Imps in October but, with his short-term contract now at an end, he has left Sincil Bank.

The 28-year-old started five games and made one substitute appearance for the club.

Before joining Lincoln, Smith had been training with Shaun Goater's former team, Southend United, who decided not to hand him a contract after watching him play a reserve team match.

Back in August, Smith was cast into the footballing wilderness after being let go by Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit New York Red Bulls mid-season.

He was traded to Red Bulls from Seattle Sounders without playing a competitive match for the MLS expansion side.

Prior to signing for Sounders, the ex-Dandy Town winger enjoyed four successful seasons with New England Revolution, playing in two successive MLS Cup final defeats.
