Marlins leap into fishbowl lead

The losers, who were led by Basil Gibbons' 476 series, dropped into third place.
Sharks and Wahoo drew 2-2 with Reggie Tavares doing well for the former with his 534 scratch and 641 handicap series. Mike McCallum led Wahoo with a 536 series while Cathee Tumbridge contriubted with a women's second high 513 series.
Tuna held onto fourth place with their draw against Snappers while Mackerel got over Angel Fish by a 3-1 score with William Steede claiming a men's second high series of 559 and high game of 208 while Geoffrey Blee led Angel Fish with a 497 series.
Porgies pulled out the stops to beat Barracuda 4-0 with Quinton Mallory bowling a top series of 585 and 212 high game while teammate Chin Wah contributing a 531 high series. For the losers Jimmy Simmons had a 524 high series.
Piranhas beat Hinds 3-1 with Sterlin Smith turning in a 202 high game. Cow Pollies got over Dolphins by a similar score, thanks to Barbara Smith's women's top series of 554 and third high game of 193.
Kevin Minors rolled a men's high series of 575 and high game of 216 but it was not enough to prevent Dolphins from going down to a 3-1 loss against Troublemakers in Mixed Majors league play.
Debbie Glasgow led Troublemakers with a women's top series of 602 and second high game of 211 combined with a third high game of 209.
D and D Rollers beat B's and G's 3-1 with Wayne Kelly rolling a men' s third high series of 528 and second high game of 213. For the losers Reggie Saunders had a men's second high series of 539.
Joan Burgess had a women's 216 high game and 583 second high series as E and C Well Drilling beat Last Minutes 4-0. Kathie Caines had a 200 high game for the losers.
Other games saw Dynamic Four get over Strikers 4-0 and Untouchables dished out similar treatment to Mix Ups.
