Mocklow in English Amateur Champs
Former Bermuda professional golfer Anthony Mocklow, who regained his amateur status several years ago, is enjoying success in England where he now lives.
As a long-time member of the Effingham Golf Club in Surrey, Mocklow has qualified for the English Men's Amateur Championships to be played at Woodhall Spa while his club team have also qualified for the last 32 of the Mail on Sunday National Championships.
The team of five includes scratch player Duncan Hodgson as well as another former pro-turned-amateur Chris Gill.
Their goal is now to make the semi-finals and final which will be played in El Rompido in Southern Spain at the end of November.
Effingham GC, regarded as one of the best clubs in Surrey, recently hosted a qualifying event for this week's British Open.
