New trophy will honour Zuill legacy

Bermuda Masters, winners of the 2006 Antigua and Barbuda Independence Cricket Festival title, will square off against commerical outfit Jamaican Association for a trophy honouring the legacy of team manager Warrington (Soup) Zuill on Saturday at Lords.

Often in the past sports historian Zuill has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" and "an inspiration to others" for his heartfelt desire to give back to the community.

Ex-Devonshire all-rounder Lionel Thomas will lead a star-studded Bermuda Masters cricket squad that is also comprised of other past stalwarts such as Braxton Stowe, Ricky Hill, Clevie Wade, Ken Pitcher and Allen Richardson to name a few.

Zuill's son, Hoyt, has also been included in the Masters 18-man roster. Saturday's match will be a 40 over affair.

Bermuda Masters: Lionel Thomas (capt), Andre Manders (vice-capt), Allen Richardson, Treadwell Gibbbons (wk), Ricky Brangman, Clevie Wade, Hoyt Zuill, Ricky Hill, James Swan, George Cannonier, Leroy Wilson, Grant Smith, Gerald Bean, Lloyd Morrison, Ken Pitcher, Braxton Stowe, David DeSilva, Winston Simmons, Gilbert Caisey, Warrington (Soup) Zuill (manager).
