Pepsi Nationals at Coney Island, leaving the riders to conquer the wind, rain

In the 60cc class, Jakai Brimmer took his tally of moto wins to six over the holiday period by winning all three races, climbing to the top of the standings by a point over Gary Cann who finished second to Brimmer in all six.

Brandon DeSilva placed third in each moto in the 60cc.

Shaki Easton put in a strong ride in the slick conditions to win over Steven Panchaud and Sean DeSilva in the 80cc class, even though bike problems slowed him down in the third moto in which he finished fourth. Still, after two firsts, it was good enough for first overall for the day with Panchaud taking second with a third, second and first and DeSilva third with two seconds and a fourth.

Scott Constable, in his rookie year in the 125 C class, claimed his first two career wins in the class by winning the first and second motos. Carlston Burgess, who had a hat-trick of wins on Boxing Day, had to settle for second for the day after two thirds and a first.

Charles Butterfield took on American guest rider Ike De Jager, a trainer with the Gary Semics riding school in North Carolina, and triumphed by two wins to one. Butterfield extended the 125 B point lead to 93 over Kyle Constable.

Racing continues this Sunday.
