PHC Athletic Committee will stage a 51 mile road race (three miles for walkers) this Saturday, starting from PHC Stadium.
The event, sanctioned by Bermuda Track and Field Association, will begin with the walkers at 9.00 a.m. with the runners following at 9.15.
Competitors will head west on Middle Road to Camp Hill, taking a left onto Camp Road and continuing to South Shore Road all the way to Cobb's Hill back onto Middle Road and then back to PHC Field.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three runners in the male and female open, masters and senior masters divisions, as well as to the first male and female walkers.
Closing date for entries is Friday and there is an $8 entry fee -- $10 for late entries. Forms should be returned to Sportseller, the International Sports Shop or to the PHC Club in Warwick.

ANGLING FSH Bermuda's largest fishing event, the Bacardi Angling Tournament, was called off on Sunday due to the bad weather. It will now be held this Sunday, weather permitting.
Some 300 anglers had entered the tournament.
Bacardi spokesman Jimmy Amos feared yesterday that fewer boats would compete this weekend but noted that a new moon would make for ideal fishing conditions.
