Leaders PHC strengthened their position at the top of the First Division with this comprehensive 130-run victory over second place Cuts at Somerset CC yesteday.

While dropping valuable ground to the visitors Cuts neverthless remained thick in the promotion race after beating Somerset Bridge by nine-wickets on Saturday.

Batsmen Jason Anderson and Fiqre Crockwell along with all-rounder Cal Waldron helped to inspire PHC to victory yesterday, Anderson and Crockwell chipping in with top scores of 52 and 43 respectively while veteran Waldron finished with impressive bowling figures of five for 30 off 10 overs.

Warwick suffered a setback at Lord's when middle of the table Stars beat them by three wickets. Justin Robinson (31) top scored for Stars while Raymond Butterfield led their bowling with four wickets for 35 runs.
