Bermuda NFL star Antonio Pierce will be raising money for local youngsters by holding a charity golf event at Belmont Hills later this week.

Pierce (pictured, right), who has established himself as one of the best middle linebackers in the NFL, will be putting on his Celebrity Golf Classic on Friday with a host of big names from sport and showbiz expected to attend.

The Antonio Pierce Youth Fund will provide two $5,000 scholarships per year to a deserving high school student wishing to pursue higher education.

Last year Pierce, whose father is a Bermudian, held a free American Football camp at Berkeley Institute for 60 youngsters.

The Celebrity Golf Classic starts at –8 a.m and finishes with a VIP cocktail reception at Newstead Resort and Spa in the evening.
